Neysha Arcelay, founder and president of Precixa, tells how she turns failure into success.
What field or industry are you currently in?
What company do you work for? Are you the founder or CEO?
I am the Founder and President of Precixa.
What advice do you have for women who want to pursue leadership positions?
Get comfortable with failure; the more you fail, the more lessons you can apply to your next role. Persistence is key.
Start beefing up your network. Mentors, sponsors, coaches, all of them count until you have your personal board of directors fully vested in your success.
Keep learning. Knowledge is like technology: once you grasp it, it is already obsolete.
Have you had to make any sacrifices in your personal life to achieve your professional success?
Every day requires a balanced prioritization process, sometimes many times a day. For me, it works to establish my non-negotiables before starting something that way it is easier to stick to them once I am fully vested.
What are ways you stay current? Do you have any favorite websites or podcasts?
I try to subscribe to big consulting firms as they constantly release white papers that help me keep current. Following them on LinkedIn is a great way to stay current: McKinsey, Accenture, IBM, Gartner, etc. For leadership, I like TED talks. Simon Sinek's straight up approach is one of my favorites.
